How Dynamic Load Management works
Dynamic power limit
AMPECO API allows for integration with building/energy management systems on-site for automated power limit adjustments.
If a building consumes more energy, the algorithms can limit charging station power to reduce peak demand and preserve the grid from overload.
Prioritization as per Charging station
Depending on the charging station’s capacity (e.g., single- or three-phase), AMPECO’s smart DLM algorithms will distribute more electricity to more powerful chargers. However, if there is a need and available energy, power can be transferred to a charging station with a smaller capacity in order to maximize distribution efficiency.
Prioritization as per Electric vehicle
Charge all of the vehicles quickly and effectively in accordance with their individual charging capacity while optimizing the use of the available power. Our DLM algorithms will make the necessary adjustments to the use of energy and will redirect it to the vehicles with the highest priority.
Prioritization as per EV driver
Configure the user prioritization to vary based on the subscription or tariff plan of the customer (guest, regular, VIP, etc.). Our DLM algorithms will ensure that EV drivers that have a higher priority are granted access to a larger amount of the available electricity.
Prioritization as per State of Charge
Charge in accordance with the current state of charge (SoC). If a vehicle’s charging is nearly complete, our DLM solution transfers extra power to other vehicles, but only if this does not interfere with the user or vehicle prioritization that was previously defined.
