[webinar] The Migration Questions CPOs Are Afraid to Ask - A practical look at how migrations actually unfold - timelines, preparation, and the realities from two people who've run them from the inside

Migration used to be a last resort. Now it’s a business decision.

A platform migration is no longer the high-risk project it was a few years ago.

Today, the methodology, tooling, and operational experience exist to approach migration in a far more structured way. Still, what that looks like in practice is hard to see from the outside.

Drawing on over a decade of experience across the EV charging ecosystem, Mariana and Charlie will walk through what migration projects really involve: what to have in place before you start, how to think about timelines and internal readiness, and the practices that separate smooth transitions from disruptive ones, including how a well-executed migration can ultimately reset how your business operates.

A migration isn’t just changing systems. It’s a chance to revisit the business – to purge what’s not working, to optimize what is. Most operators only get there when the pain has grown too big to ignore, or when the decision is made for them. The operators who start the conversation earlier are the ones who shape the outcome.

Meet your hosts

Director, Data Strategy & Architecture, AMPECO

Mariana has been in EV charging since its earliest years, starting at Fortum Charge and Drive and later working alongside operators through platform migrations from in-house and third-party systems. Her perspective is grounded in what these transitions look like from the inside: the data, decisions, and details no vendor puts in a brochure.

Solutions Architecture Lead, AMPECO

Charlie started in EV charging in 2017 on the ground at EV Driver, installing chargers, commissioning hardware, and managing back-office systems. He consulted with utilities on EV rollout strategy before joining Easee, where he built the global integration team and led product across the UK, Ireland, and Benelux. At AMPECO, he’s often the first in the room when a CPO thinks it might be time to migrate.

Built for EV Charging Professionals

Few decisions shape an operator’s future more than whether to migrate from a CPMS. It rarely rests with one person – investors, owners, project managers, and operational leads each weigh it differently. This conversation is for all of them.

  • 1

EV charging network operators considering whether the in-house or third-party CPMS they chose years ago still fits the business they’re running today

  • 2

Owners and board members assessing whether a platform migration is a viable project, and whether the team has the capacity to deliver it

  • 3

Project managers and operations leads who will own execution and need to scope what they’re actually signing up for

When is this webinar?

June 3, 2026, at 4:00 PM CET. 60 minutes total: 45 minutes of conversation, followed by 15 minutes of live Q&A.

Will the recording be available after June 3?

Yes. Everyone who registers gets the recording within 48 hours, whether or not they attended live. Register even if you can’t make it.

How technical will the conversation be?

Practitioner-level, not engineer-level. The focus is on timelines, team capacity, and decision-making, not data schemas or API specifics. Built for CPOs and other stakeholders who need a clear view of what a migration actually involves.

Do I need to be planning a migration right now to attend?

No. The conversation is designed to help you understand what a platform migration would involve, not to push you toward one.
