Electric vehicles (EVs) are here to stay, and Marin Clean Energy (MCE) is making it easier than ever for workplaces and multifamily properties to embrace EV charging. With their EV Charging Station Program, MCE offers generous rebates for Level 2 charging stations, making it a reality for businesses and property owners to provide convenient charging solutions for their employees and residents.

Marin Clean Energy (MCE) Charging Station Program offers rebates for Level 2 charging stations for workplaces and multifamily properties (market rate and low income with 4 or more units) of up to $$3,000 per Level 2 (L2) charging port for 2-20 ports per site. Additional $500 per charging port with Deep Green 100% renewable energy.

Why Invest in EV Charging?

Installing EV charging stations isn’t just about keeping up with the latest trends; it’s a strategic move that can benefit your workplace or multifamily property in multiple ways:

1. Attract and Retain: Offering EV charging is a valuable perk that can attract top talent to your workplace or make your multifamily property more desirable to residents. EV drivers often choose locations with charging infrastructure.

2. Financial Sense: While offering charging, you can offset ongoing costs by charging users a fee for using the stations. It can turn your EV charging investment into a revenue-generating asset.

3. Environmental Impact: Supporting EV adoption contributes to reducing emissions and curbing pollution, which is especially crucial in urban areas with air quality concerns.

What You Get

MCE’s program provides enticing incentives for installing EV charging stations:

Rebates: Depending on your MCE service type and the level of green energy you choose, you can receive substantial rebates. Here’s a breakdown:

  • Level 1 Charging: Up to $875 per port for Deep Green energy service.
  • Level 2 Charging: Up to $3,500 per port for Deep Green energy service.

These rebates apply to projects ranging from 2 to 20 ports, ensuring you can tailor the charging infrastructure to your specific needs.

Technical Assistance: MCE has a team of EV charging experts ready to guide you through every step of the process. From your initial consultation to implementation support and rebate assistance, they’re there to make sure your project is a success.

Additional Rebates: Depending on your location, you may be eligible for even more rebates. For example, in Contra Costa and Napa & Solano, you can receive extra incentives through CALSTART’s Communities in Charge program.
