At the beginning of July 2021, all AMPECO team members gathered together for our annual fully electric teambuilding. Summer gatherings are a perfect opportunity for all team members to celebrate the latest success stories and enjoy time together, not only in Zoom meetings.
For less than a year, we more than doubled the team compared to last summer. AMPECO team is already 25 team members and counting. We are growing strong and looking forward to recruiting new colleagues and finishing 2021 with nearly 50 team members. 2021 AMPECO Summer Teambuilding was a special one. Not only it was fully electric again (like we always do), but we spent three amazing days in the mountain celebrating our achievements and working on AMPECO vision and strategy for the next five years.
The EV Fleet
AMPECO EV fleet during Summer 2021 teambuilding included:
- Tesla Model 3
- Nissan Leaf 40
- Citroen e-C4
- Hyundai Kona
- BMW i3 REX 94 Ah
Everyone was able to do a test drive of each electric vehicle. We spent a great time discussing and comparing the cars, interior and exterior details, battery capacity, range and charging capabilities. We managed to put ourselves in the shoes of the EV drivers, AMPECO white-label mobile apps end-users, and it was a valuable experience.
Yes, we did some races, and the winner is evident from the video above.
Borovets – EV friendly destination
The teambuilding organisers carefully researched and shortlisted several locations for the teambuilding. The decision criteria were:
- distance from our headquarters in Sofia;
- EV charging capabilities along the route and available chargers in the hotel;
- Fantastic nature scenery around us.
Borovets checked all the boxes, and we were ready to go.
We give it our absolute best
We put a lot of effort, and we give our best working towards a shared goal at AMPECO. The results we achieved in the last 12 months confirm that we are on the right track. We managed to gain the trust of more than 50 clients on six continents. Our product evolves, and we constantly add new features that empower our customers to generate more revenue and earn more clients.
During the teambuilding, everyone could get a deserved rest and enjoy different activities:
- Walk in the mountains or a trail run;
- Relaxing in the swimming pool;
- Competing on table tennis and football;
- Or having a coffee or beer with new colleagues.
To maintain the high quality of our work, we focus on the physical and mental health and the happiness of each team member. During the teambuilding, AMPECO management also introduced new and extended employee benefits.
In addition to the executive presentations, we had a special presentation from our Meme manager. Yes, you are right. We are great fans of memes, and one of our colleagues even gave himself the role of Comic Relief. We would love to show you some of them, but we should wait until you join the team.
Vision and strategy
The high level of engagement of each employee is a signature mark for AMPECO. It is the result of the open and transparent communication of the founders and the management team.
On the first day of the team building, we had several executive presentations from the management team. They talked about the big picture of the company and deep dive into essential topics:
- Mission and vision of the company;
- The achievements we all made;
- The state of the product – trends, roadmap, etc.;
- The state of technology;
- Clients and partners;
- Hiring plan and team growth;
- Scaling strategy and tactics.
Every team member could ask questions, give suggestions, and learn even more about all departments’ work. It is great to see all the progress we made last year and understand how significant your contribution is.
The AMPECO Hackathon
The involvement of all team members in the discussion about scaling the team, product and sales could go even further.
The whole team was split into four groups to work on a challenge related to the company’s growth in the next 18 months.
The teamwork during the hackathon was inspiring because each team put a great effort. On the last day, we had presentations with outstanding solutions to the challenges in the hackathon. Each group had prepared a presentation for the solution, but most of the teams already committed to their implementation.
Yes, all of the team members are already waiting for the next AMPECO team building.
But before then, we have already rolled out the sleeves and have lots of work to do.
AMPECO management team aims to double the team to 50 people by the end of 2021, and we are looking for new colleagues in most departments – HR, sales, marketing, customer success and tech teams.
